Entrepreneur Bootcamp – Class 6
This session focuses on the operational side of building a business. Participants identify the key activities that set their company apart from competitors, along with the resources needed to execute them effectively.
The class also addresses a common startup mistake: poor hiring decisions. Participants explore what their business must consistently do well to deliver value, as well as the people, systems, tools, and relationships required to support those operations. A guest speaker shares best practices for hiring, highlighting how early staffing choices impact cost, culture, compliance, and overall performance.
The session revisits the go/no-go discussion and outlines expectations for the Business Plan Competition. Participants reflect on insights gained from customer discovery, market research, financial planning, and industry analysis to evaluate whether their idea should move forward. This final exercise helps participants make informed decisions with greater clarity and confidence.
